Abergeldie delivered a series of works for the precinct, including:

• Stormwater drainage comprising concrete and PVC pipes
• Manholes and releveling of existing manhole covers.
• Potholing and service relocations, as required.

Under the contract, Abergeldie supplied all labour, bedding, backfill and testing and adhered to the overall delivery programme for the Precinct.

Works on the Avon River Precinct Project took place around and above the Avon River in Central Auckland. requiring control of construction water run-offs through sedimentation controls. These run offs were regularly monitoring and reported to Auckland Transport by the project team.

Abergeldie worked with local stakeholders, including residents and businesses to ensure access for businesses and provided traffic management services. The project team worked closely with Auckland Transport's community liaison team to provide advance notification of works and to resolve a small number of complaints relating to construction noise.

The Avon River Precinct has provided shared space, connecting the local community, tourists and businesses from central Christchurch with the Avon River.
