Abergeldie to deliver a 5-year program of works for the Maroochydore Wastewater Treatment Plant

We are pleased to announce that after a successful Early Tender Involvement process, we have been awarded a 5-year program of works for Unitywater’s Maroochydore Wastewater Treatment Plant. The program of works includes planning, scheduling, design, engineering, testing, and commissioning of both planned and forecasted future capital works.

Unitywater Executive Manager Sustainable Infrastructure Solutions Daniel Lambert said significant works would be undertaken over the next five years to ensure continued, safe, and reliable wastewater treatment for the Maroochydore and surrounding communities.

“We are committed to providing sustainable solutions to ensure our upgrade works and projects cater for our growing region as we continue to adapt to our changing climate,” he said.

“These works will also improve the operability of this plant and contribute to the liveability of our communities.”

Abergeldie CEO Mark Bruzzone said “We are delighted to be collaborating with Unitywater to deliver this 5-year program of works at the Maroochydore Wastewater Treatment Plant. Our selection to deliver these works shows confidence in our ability to deliver complex wastewater infrastructure works under brownfield conditions. We’re thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Unitywater and look forward to delivering these works safely for Unitywater and the local community.”

The program of works is expected to begin early next year.
